Department firetruck.
Centerton was named in 1900, for its location in the center of Benton County. Originally an orchard market village with a railroad stop, it’ s in the center of much more, today – and still growing.
City limits are shared with Bentonville and it is minutes from Rogers, XNA, Springdale and Lowell. Centerton’ s main street, AR 102, gives access to the I-49 north-south corridor connecting all of Northwest Arkansas. Nearby Northwest Arkansas National Airport offers connection to major cities.
“ Mayor Bill” Edwards will proudly tell anyone, as he did in his 2024 State of the City address,“ Centerton continues to thrive and grow, welcoming new residents each year. Our current estimated population stands at 25,857, which represents a remarkable 7.9 percent increase from 2024, up from 24,543. Since the 2020 census, we have experienced a staggering 41.76 percent growth. Today, Centerton encompasses 14.3 square miles, making us the 20th largest city in the state, and we were recently recognized in 2024 as the 6th fastestgrowing city in the United States for municipalities over 20,000 people.”
The Centerton Area Chamber of Commerce embraces the expanding populace and new businesses, steadily gaining membership. Its schedule of Business Brew networking meet-ups and business ribbon-cuttings introduce long-time citizens and new people to one another. It enthusiastically uplifts existing and new businesses.
